Meet Christine

I’m running for Aspen City Council to serve the community I love and be a voice for all generations. I moved to Aspen nearly 20 years ago as a reporter for the Aspen Daily News, immediately covering everything from Winter X Games to city council meetings. Since then, I’ve served in a variety of civic and volunteer roles, and currently work full-time as a professional, as the chief operations officer and a producer for a digital content company, Wendover Productions, and as the editor-in-chief of Local magazine.

Smart local policy has allowed me to have a career, a home and a family here while enjoying the mountain lifestyle. I live in deed-restricted housing in Aspen. I’m married and raising two young children, one in preschool and another at Aspen Elementary School, along with a step-daughter who is a freshman at the University of Colorado. I love to be active by running, biking, hiking, skiing, and uphilling in our amazing mountains, parks and open spaces.

A Pragmatic Decision Maker

My experience working across sectors in our community for nearly two decades enables me to contribute the fresh perspective I believe council needs—someone who can objectively, and efficiently, analyze complex issues. I will not show up with self interests influencing my decision-making. Aspen means something different to every single one of us—each of us has our own Aspen. I want to bring my ability to listen and understand what the community wants to make pragmatic decisions based in reality and fact.

An Engaged Citizen

I care a lot about Aspen and have always been called to service. I am a believer in being an active participant in the communities in which you live or engage and want to help more people have their voices heard. I would be honored to serve Aspen as a steward of this wonderful community for the next four years.
